Explain the credit card draft plan? When is my expiration date?
A member can select either a full payment or a 12-month credit card draft plan for their annual membership. When a member is on the credit card draft plan, there is no specific expiration date, the membership continues until a 30-day written notice is submitted to end the membership. Per the membership information you signed upon joining, memberships can only be canceled after the first twelve months.
What’s included in my membership?
A full privilege membership entitles you to use the Pool, Basketball Gymnasium, Health & Fitness Center (including a fitness equipment orientation) and general membership locker rooms as well as Group Fitness, yoga and spinning classes (some age and scheduling restrictions apply). All memberships include three free guest passes.
How do I upgrade to the Adult Long-term Locker Room?
The Adult Long-term Locker Room includes an assigned locker and towel service in an adult-only locker room with a steam room and sauna. Please see the front desk staff and inquire about availability. There may be a short waiting period, but they can add your name to the list. You will then be called by a staff member who will assist you with the membership upgrade.
Do you have short term memberships?
We do not offer short term memberships with the exception of a summer membership for four months. These memberships are available for sale beginning on May 1. All memberships purchased after June 1 expire on September 30 of that year. (Some restrictions may apply.)
What’s the Joiners’ Fee used for?
The funds collected from the Joiners’ Fee are primarily used for facility improvements and major equipment purchases. Joiners’ Fee funds can only be used with approval from the YMCA Board of Governors.
Can I use my Y membership at another Y?
Lakeland Hills Family YMCA participates in the national A.W.A.Y program that allows you to use numerous YMCA facilities within the U.S. and abroad. Please visit www.ymca.net prior to traveling for information about other YMCAs. Varying guest fees may apply.
Can I sign up or renew my membership without coming to the Y?
All new memberships must be taken out in person. Membership renewals, other than those on the bank draft payment plan, need to be renewed in person or by mail. Notice of renewal for annual payment will be sent by mail one month prior to the expiration date.
Can I cancel my membership?
Cancellations are not available during the first 12 months of a membership. After that time, you may cancel your credit card draft payment plan with 30 days written notice. Membership fees are neither refundable nor transferable.
