NEW! Getting to Know You
(6 weeks - 12 months with parent)
Now that the baby is finally here, what do I do now? The parent/child class will help the new mom get acquainted with her newborn. Each week will cover a different aspect of your child's care. Some weeks will feature a speaker, and other weeks will have demonstrations. You'll have time for questions and socializing with other new moms. An outline of topics will be handed out at the first class. Dress comfortably.
This new class is a fun way to introduce your child to the wonderful world of books. Each week a different classic or modern tale will be read aloud followed by activities centered on the story. Parents are encouraged to sign up for a week when they bring their child's favorite story and present it to the group.
Our entry-level parent and child class, give toddlers an
opportunity to develop their strength, flexibility and social
skills in an age-appropriate setting. Activities will involve
movements with music, balance and coordination activities,
and fun with objects such as beanbags, scarves and balls.
Class is $52 once per week, $75 twice per week.

Here’s an exciting environment for you and your child to
explore while developing motor sensory stimulation and
coordination, as well as social interaction.Your child will
make new friends as he/she exercises, tumbles and plays
games. Parents are actively involved in this class.
This beginning level class will introduce your children to
basics in tumbling. Parents are actively involved in this
class and encourage their children as they learn rolls, jumping,
and fun mat exercises. Emphasis will be on coordination,
flexibility, and basic skills. Certain classes will feature
pieces of our gymnastics equipment. As each child progresses,
new routines will be introduced.
Children get to enjoy some independence from mom and
dad in this beginner class, and it’s a fun-filled hour of activities!
Children will make projects, have a circle and story
time, learn new songs, and exercise with our planned group
themes, and so much more!
This beginner class is a fun and exciting way to learn ballet.
Children will be introduced to basic ballet terminology,
positions and movements, as they learn floor and barre
exercises. Parents are invited to watch them perform during
the last week of the session.
SUGGESTED ATTIRE: black leotard, pink tights and
pink ballet slippers.
Class is $62 once per week, $84 twice per week, $106 three times per week.
Participants will learn ballet terminology, self-confidence,
poise, grace, coordination and across-the-floor combinations.
This is a great class for new participants or children
with beginning ballet experience. Parents are invited to
watch them perform during the last week of the session.
SUGGESTED ATTIRE: black leotard, pink tights and
pink ballet slippers.
Class is $62 once per week, $84 twice
a week or $105 three times a week.
This class will introduce the basics.Warm-ups, skills and ageappropriate
lessons will help improve your child’s physical development
needed at this stage of growth. Children will be grouped
by ability. Suggested attire: Leotard.
This class starts with a snack and socialization time.
Children will then enjoy a variety of activities including
arts & crafts, sports and games, music, and story time. Class
concludes with a 1/2 hour swim lesson where children are
grouped by ability. All participants must be 3 and potty
trained by start of the first class, which is $94 once per
week, $134 twice per week, $165 three times per week.
This class is for boys and girls who enjoy sports and games.
Each week a different game will be presented including:
soccer, scooter hockey, kickball,T-ball, and golf. Other
weeks will feature cooperative and tag games. Along with
the fun, instructors will encourage teamwork, sportsmanship,
and basic game dynamics.
Class combines Rookie Sports class and 1/2 hour swimming
lesson for a real workout for your youngster. Class begins
in the pool where children are grouped by ability.
Instructor will bring children to the gym.
This new program is designed primarily for children
attending afternoon kindergarten and is geared to help
them prepare for a full school day. Recreational activities
include: arts & crafts, science & nature, group activities,
story time and playtime. Children will have a 1/2 hr. gym
period on Monday and Friday and 1/2 hr. recreational swim
on Wednesdays. Class concludes with lunchtime at 11:30
a.m. Bring a bag lunch and drink.
(Transportation is provided
to Wildwood School with a minimum of four students
per run, but all P.M. kindergartners are welcome.)
Parents picking up students should arrive at the Y at noon.
Now with flex scheduling! This program is primarily
designed for children attending morning kindergarten and
is geared to help them prepare for a full day. Recreational
activities include: arts & crafts, science & nature, group
activities, story time and playtime. Children will have a 1/2
hr. gym period on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday, and
1/2 hr. recreational swim on Thursday and Friday. Bring a
bag lunch and drink. (Transportation is provided for
Wildwood and School Street Schools, with a minimum of
four students per run but all A.M. kindergartners are welcome.)
Parents driving students should arrive for class at
11:30 a.m. Class ends at 2:00 p.m.

Have you ever wondered why ocean water is salty but rain is not? How come birds lay eggs and bats don't? Why is the sky blue? This is the class for you inquisitive child! Children will explore the world of science while doing hands on projects each week. Topics include: space, geology, physics, ecology, animals, plants and nature. On good weather days, the class may go outside.
Hit a home run with your little one! With your help, your child will learn the fundamentals of baseball in a fun-filled environment.
Participants will practice throwing, hitting, fielding and base running.
